HIGHLIGHTS
Structured gymnastics classes for ages 5+
The Recreational Program offers structured gymnastics classes for gymnasts aged five and above with little or no previous gymnastics. Children of all physical abilities can explore and enhance their physical skills at their own pace in a non-competitive environment.
The curriculum is designed based upon USA Gymnastics Development Program to help each child build confidence as they master each progression and skill.
Beginners: for children with little or no experience in gymnastics.
Intermediate: for children with some gymnastics experience who can perform certain skills.
Advanced: for children who can perform advanced skills, and display a high level of strength, power and flexibility.

Children are grouped by age and ability and progress through our skills-based program. Children are learning correct techniques with proper gymnastics “shaping” on all four apparatus while having fun.
To ensure proper progression, this class is recommended to be taken twice a week.
Each class begins with a warmup, including a focus on shapes/strength and flexibility. The class then rotates through a variety of apparatus (bars, floor, vault/trampoline, beam) to learn skills-based exercises.
Skills include forward and backward roll, handstand, cartwheel, roundoff, bridge and kickover, pull over, and casts on bars, jumps on trampoline, handstand and cartwheel on beam and basic dance skills.
Minimum age: 5
Uniform: leotard and leggings.
Assessment to be scheduled before enrollment to establish level and class placement.
This is a child only class: parents are invited to remain in the waiting area during their child’s class time.
