Gymnastics based movement education classes for children under 5
Kinder Gym is a play-based structured gymnastics program focusing on motor development while introducing children to basic gymnastics skills that prepares them for the recreational program.
The curriculum is designed based upon fundamental movement programs for children under the age of five to develop physical literacy through gymnastics.
Beginners: for children with no experience in gymnastics.
4 – 5 years old.
The program offers an engaging and enjoyable way for children to have fun while developing their physical skills.
A low student-to-teacher ratio of 6:1 makes sure each child gets individual attention.
Orion Gymnastics has highly qualified and well-trained coaches that inspire gymnasts to achieve their goals.
MOTOR DEVELOPMENT

This is a class for children that are beginning their gymnastics journey. They will be taught basic gymnastics skills on all four apparatus (vault, bars, beam, and floor) by participating in skill stations. Emphasis will be placed on teamwork and coordination.
This class is recommended to be taken once a week.
No assessment required.
Children will learn basic body positions, locomotion, jumps on trampolines, rolls, walks on beam, climbing and swinging on bars, intro to handstand, mini-cartwheels and so much more.
Minimum age: 4
Uniform: leotard or t-shirt and leggings (no jewelry).
This is a child only class: parents are invited to remain in the waiting area during their child’s class time.
